  • Oh we have already had that discussion! He sent me some pics of both and told me I can have whatever style I want as long as he is happy with the construction of it. Currently, I think we are both keen on the segmented type, with wishbone stay (not as pencil thin as yours... 😬) so instead of bothering him with telling me the possible 1000s variations of styles and look etc, I thought I'd ask here.

He is waiting for me to decide on the fork, then he can finalise the headtube angle and rake etc etc. Then we are good to go!

And despite what everyone else has said, I am going for a Ti fork, Ted has some rather genius thoughts to make it a super duper fork!

  • I am going for a Ti fork,

Indeed? I have a Direct Control titanium fork which one of these days I will use to rebuild my old Raleigh Torus XT mountain bike. Here's a picture from the brochure from Ye Olde Days showing the bike with the fork:

Looks beautiful, but utterly terrifying to ride. It's as flexy and twangy as a very flexy and twangy thing, despite the double crowns, and there's only a few occasions when the front wheel is actually pointing in the direction of travel. Looks cool though.
