The cooker/hob in our flat has started acting up - blowing its fuse randomly every now & then. Makes a zap sound & one of the hobs flashes. Not fun. Thankfully, it's on its own isolated circuit so it doesn't trip the electricity for the entire flat. Annoying though, & has meant that we've had to resort to the camping stove on the hob for a few nights to make tea!
Anyone else had any similar issues & how to resolve them? Ideally we don't want to buying a whole new oven when it might only be a single component. Call an electrician?
In the meantime, we've ordered another batch of fuses as a stop gap (annoyingly, they're awkward size ones so can't just pick up from a local hardware shop), going to see if we can figure out what element of the oven/hob it is.
