Seconded. Might not be to everyone's tastes though, because my coffee-loving friend thought that it was rank (and then gave me a can as a gift...)
-
• #6478
Oh definitely!
I mean it's not all that sour, but if you were to give it to your average beer drinker without warning, I can't imagine you'd get a positive reaction!

Siren's raspberry coffee sour Caphiene is very tasty

Quick question. How much cider should I order to stock a bar at a sold-out 120 capicity folk/rock gig in a community centre (in a small town in Kent)?
-
• #6484
Is it a crowed of me or a crowd of sober types? If I had to listen to folk rock I reckon I'd need minimum 3 pints/hour.
-
• #6485
I reckon folk rock fans will be quite boozy.
Assume half the people will have drink cider and average 2-3 pints?
-
• #6486
I'd work on basis 80% will have 1pt
Of those 50% will have 2 or more, with about 10% hitting it hard (4+). Then 0.1% Hippy levels.
500 pints-ish?

• #6487
what's the likely split between beer and cider drinkers tho?
-
• #6488
It's Kent. Beer is illegal.

• #6489
What you talkin’ about Willis?

• #6490
It's Kent. Beer is shit.

Is it a week day or weekend? That could have a bearing on how much people let loose
-
• #6492
Must've been thinking of Somerset. Kent's full of oooooooasthouses isn't it?
-

How very dare you! Not a fan of Shepherd Neame then? The brewery is the big landmark (and provider of malty smells) in the town. I'ma big fan of loads of their stuff. To be fair they declined to give us a deal and we got the beer from the Whitstable Bay Brewery which is very meh.
I'm hoping these guys will be providing the Cider https://www.kentcider.co.uk/
It's a Saturday night.

Order more than you need and I'll be out the back at midnight to
drinkcollect what's left. -

Any info on-line about the gig? Who's playing?

Not at all, not a fan of most Kent beers for some reason.
I think on a Saturday people will get though more than a week day, but then I would be ordering based on my own gig consumption, which probably doesn't mirror most other peoples!

Duvel night at Bottle Shop Druid St tonight. Duvel, Duvel Triple Hop, Veddett, De Koninck and La Chouffe on.

Oh man. I love me some Bishops Finger. Can't contemplate the roast in my favoutite rickety old local without one of them. The bottled Brilliant Ale and 1698 are lovely too. I even like Master brew and the occasional Spitfire. I'm off beer at the moment though so must stop torturing myself imagining gulping down a lovely cellar temperature glass of malty hoppy satisfation. Dammit.
I've ordered 80L of cider from the Kent Cider bods. Got a mixture of a 5.5% dark/medium one, a 5% light/dry one and 10l of a super-dry 8% Russet one.

Off the beer......orders 80L of cider, I like your style!
No stinker at all! Pretty damn refreshing!
It's always nice to have a good coffee beer that isn't a stout/porter. On a similar note this is definitely worth trying:
