I could buy the good half of Melbourne for the price of my flat in London. ;)

Hey that's my family you're talking about!

Nice. Well sited for the gentrification hotspots, and more importantly, Jerk Scene. And the park. That layout is kinda endgame for our place I think, loft and kitchen extended out to garden. I'd love to have a nose around once you've secured the place (if you go with it) to get a sense of how it fits together. We're over on Braidwood, about a third of the way up.

We were the first to view ours on the first day of viewings two years ago. Offered 5k under, were told that if we offered the asking price they'd sack off all the other viewings so we did and they took it off the market straight away.

Big pub refurb in E11, The Heathcote is going to be The Heathcote and Star, that's the pub where the owner wanted to run it down and turn into flats so they started randomly banning people:

absolutely. the fact that it comes with what looks like a pretty well executed loft conversion is a massive thumbs up for us. there's loads of hidden storage up there as well.
pop round whenevs - keys in the goldfish bowl first tho.

You get to buy it off them cheap when the rates go up and they can't afford their repayments.
-
• #20085
Do you have them well contained?
-
• #20086
yup that's what happened with the place in catfrod. convincing the seller to hold off on putting it back on the market after our initial 2 week grace period was a ballache.
-
• #20087
Champion. Any idea who did the loft? We've given up chasing that for a bit and are gonna throw the cash at sorting everything else that's wrong with the place instead, but still good to know who can finish off a good one.

Yeah 100%, there are a couple of people from the provinces in my office, humouring them and their backwards little ways is such a bore.
They don't even have any ply in their kitchens.
-
• #20089
Our last place had ply walls and floor in the bathroom. I miss it. We're slumming it with tiles (shudder) in our new place. One learns to soldier on.

I just hope for your sake they are hexagonal or you truly are in a tight spot...

My cash, my rules. Mrs liking it is a bonus.
I paid under the asking price, because I'm the fucking boss and you'll do what you're told seller bastard. Oh and they wanted a quick sale and it was during the crash and they wouldn't budge when I tried to push them further so you know more like "do what I tell you, please".

Nope, she's not even on the lease. I'll deny all knowledge of a relationship if she fucks me over.
We're so in love :)

My sister has just bought a house back home, 4 bedrooms, double garage, a few living rooms, conservatory, etc for £240k.
I could get this 3 bed end-of-terrace for what my loft conversion will cost me http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-67731068.html
