  • Well, if this is true:

    Casing fabrics vary between 15 TPI for coarse utility tires to 120 TPI for very high-end tires. What about the tires with 300 TPI or more? These makers count every layer of the tire. Most tires have three layers of overlapping casing, so by that method of counting, a 100 TPI fabric will make a 300 TPI tire.

    The Michelin Pro 4 Endurance is the toughest member of the Pro 4 range. It offers a 3x110 TPI casing, a Bi-Compound rubber compound, and an HD Protection layer that runs from bead to bead.

    Though with that protection it won't be as fast, some other tyre from Michelin would be more comparable to the conti. I haven't had a Michelin since Krylion carbon, but these current ones are interesting.

    edit: actually I did have a Pro 3 race briefly, destroyed in a month.
