When your mates suggest meeting down the pub do you go "let's just get our own beers in, stay in our respective houses and email each other - it'll be cheaper and just as much fun"?

When you meet your "mates" in the pub, do you sit in a different room and watch them through a glass screen while they pretend you're their mate but you don't actually get to participate or contribute at all and they don't even know your name?
