Agrees, however there are some disc calipers in a batch whose pads don’t sit straight inside the calipers which offer a very spongy performances, not being able to line them up perfectly and can’t get pads close enough without rubbing, compressionless or not.
A lots of mechincal disc are like that, annoying as I know they can be good, as good as hydraulic even.
Bb7, Spyres, CX77, Haye CX1 to name but a few.
This is why some people are really poor experience with them but other had awesome experience.
My experience with CX77s is totally opposite, they worked really well and were a worthwhile upgrade compared to any other mechanical disc brake I've ever used
