@umop3pisdn - What tyres did you have on here? I'm just working out how a 33mm CX would look on a 24mm internal rim.
Available information suggests it should just be ok, but would be nice to see.

Michelin Mud 2. I think it would be a bit risky, there was a lot of sidewall exposed.

Ah cheers. Might keep the i19s for the CX tyres and use the Arc 24s for something like a 40mm road/gravel tyre.

The Michelin Mud 2s are 30 mm wide, i.e. quite narrow for a CX tyre.

Oh right, cheers, Andy.
I might just avoid using the narrower off-road treads, as my weight & downhill skillz could cause them to explode.

Nobody wanted to buy this so it's in a box to turn into a flat bar 650b mtb-lite thing for gravel riding with the dog at some point next year.
This sort of thing, inspo pics welcomed.

Pushing and carrying the bike over the ridges after this was hard work.

doing exactly this with mine except keeping 700s on it.
700x40c more than ample for me, building it up with some swept salsa bars I have. Much fun.

Sounds good, let me know how it goes. I've got some 760mm risers but sweep sounds good too.

I really want one of these frames to turn into a flat bar city cruiser with dynamo. Like the Speedvagen urban racer
