Wallets

  • Do they fit UK notes in (twenties in particular)? They tend to be a bit big for US wallets I find.

  • Yeah these ones fit twenties nicely, no overhang or anything when they're inside

  • Thanks, ordered online in yellow.
Will post a picture once it arrives.

  • Cheers, is that the micro or the standard? May order one next time I'm in the US.

  • I like the look of those Mighty Wallets, any reason you're not getting another?

  • Mainly because I wanted a even smaller one. I'd still be using it if it wasn't messed up though.

In the end I went for custom made by a friend who does saddles and bags and stuff (Superbeau).
I wanted a classy brown full leather one originally, but since I hate thick wallets (worst attribute a wallet can have) we decided to use Cordura in the middle.
The photos don't do it justice, the leather is a rather cold black. But I've never seen a wallet this sexy.
Fun fact: you can squeeze the ends to open up the middle pocket

  • I like it.
That said most card holders pop like that and if you haven't seen a card holder as sexy as that you need to get out more 😉

  • You need to show me!
Maybe it looks sexier to me because a friend made it and we sat over an hour wrecking our heads over what we could use and what looked good. And what he could do without too much hassle.
I love it for its modernity without being too flashy.

  • Of course, it's great for those reasons.
    I'll try do some trawling...

  • This is how a Mighty Wallet looks like unfolded btw

  • Because I'm bored so here's a resurrection.
I had a Paul Smith for over 7 years. It was amazing but it wore out. So it had to go..

  • Bollocks.

I've just washed mine. What is the forum recommended slimline wallet that takes cards and cash.

Preferably can be bought on the tinternet and looks good when you flash the cash

  • I wanted a leather wallet. Eventually settled on this:

It isn't super slim, but the workmanship is lovely and it is developing a nice patina. It suits my needs well.

  • Sold out at the moment unfortunately.

  • Seems to be in stock in black- I would guess they'd make one for you anyhow, if you drop them an email.

  • Just noted that the Iron Heart wallet is £650 - think I'd rather risk losing a £20 sheet out of my jeans pocket. This is quite nice, though:

  • I've been using a snide Ridge wallet for the last few years, but the money clip snapped off today, so am on the look out for a new card holder type wallet.

Any suggestions for an alternative before I decide £100 for a Ridge is too much and go find another snide?

  • I too need a new wallet. My Freitag is well over 10yrs old now so it’s done well. That said the velcro has given up the ghost and it’s wearing through on all corners.
I can def downsize a bit as I only carry a couple of cards now although a little space for cash is welcome.

Non leather, proper closure of some sort, pref cheaper than freitag. Any suggestions? I’m not a fan of their smallest size one as it’s just a card wallet and don’t need something with multiple card pockets so I won’t get the same again.

  • Wtf, Ridge wallets are a ton? I guess paying all those YouTubers and podcasters to hawk them costs money.

  • I’ve moved to the Fjallraven zip wallet from a more traditional bifold style as likewise carry cards and maybe a few notes. It’s sold as a card wallet, but opens up like a book and I’ve got cards on one side and notes in the other pocket.

Waxed canvas so hard wearing I’ve found, may have leather zipper pull, not sure exactly what it’s made if I’m afraid

  • I've been using one of these for years. Nice and slim, can fit a few cards, some change and notes in. No animal products, loads of fun colours and pretty hard wearing!
