  • Phwoar that's got some overlap. Rumpity rump!

  • Superbird is epic... But what's with the steering wheel angle?

  • I thin as Petty describes in video. This was a family sedan with bits bolted on to race. They had not a clue. 😎

  • Picking up some Compomotive TH Monos on Monday to solve my wheel arch rubbing issue. Higher offset so will push my wheels back into the arches just enough. Coming with almost brand new AD08Rs to also solve my fucked front tyres issue and will be slightly better over winter than full semi slicks.

Got hold of a proper stainless steel 4-1 manifold rather than the homebrew one that’s on there right now so now I just need to get an exhaust, get the car back to a Skuzzle to sort the steering rack and we’re back in action!

  • put smaller tyres and add more camber

  • Urgh, stance...

  • Are you going to look in to the cylinders, as a before and after, to see the difference.

  • That ground has been covered, as has the reasoning behind, and the result of the exercise.

    Thanks tho.

  • Up to £2k on a second car, enjoying e61 touring so thinking e46 330i or e39 530i. Any other ideas? Doesn’t need to be particularly practical but fun and cheapish to run would be ideal.

  • E39 is a lovely model, many customers that traded up to an E60 were disappointed, just watch out for auto box on high milers.
I see you want petrol so avoiding any diesel swirl flap and dpf problems :)

  • Took this week off work to do some essential welding for the MOT and tidy up as much as possible on the E30 beast.
A little bit of rust always travels further once you put the wire wheel on it :( also found more hidden under stone chip. The Jacking point front left is certainly now the strongest on the car as I had some hefty thick steel that took a fair bit of cutting and pummelling to get in to shape :D

  • Had these two doing burnouts on my kitchen bench this morning 😎

  • 535d M Sport Touring = given up on life?

  • Comfy, quick, loads of tech, practical, wont cost you £10k a year to maintain - what's not to like?

Just don't get the E60 because it looks like someone melted it with a magnifying glass.

  • E61 was the one I was considering, as it's helpfully cheap.

  • helpfully cheap

See previous comment about it being horrendously ugly.

If you can get past its looks, i think they were still well reviewed. @Fixedwheelnut will give you the lowdown on anything to watch out for...

  • I quite like the looks, but if I'm in a minority then hey - at least it makes it cheaper, as you point out.

  • That seems expensive but it is low miles... Not sure what difference (if any) there is between 2009 and 2007 models except about £4k depreciation.

    Check here for VIN http://www.blue-print.com/Newweb/index6_fs.asp
and here for accurate options list https://www.bmwvin.com/

Edit: Never mind, they've helpfully blanked the numberplate.

Why would you pick that over the E61?
