guh that's niiiiiice.
i should just make my own sparkle bike. thinking about taking my langster and acid stripping it somewhere. and going to town with spray.bike stuff that does sparkles.
my problem is too much choice of colours etc. overwhelming.

what size is that? maybe sell it to me when you've grown tired of it :)

You may find the rack will be tilting towards the bars setup like that

I can thoroughly recommend the spray.bike keirin flake clearcoat stuff. it is extremely good. colours, varnish, rub down and then sparkles.
I've had a couple of frames dipped, cost about £30 a pop from memory. Tbh if you're going to respray the frame with cans I wouldn't even bother. Didn't strip my Pinnacle before I sprayed it, and it's fine.

Yeah, I did consider that. Tightened the fucker right up and will see how it goes. I'm likely to cut it up and turn it in to a rack at some point soon. Rack > Basket

• #633

Sold it! It's going to be repainted and have second life as my team mates race bike.
Tbh it was amazing at everything I set it to, but I've got 3 bikes to do everything it did now, and they'll all do their role quite a bit better.
It's gunna be painted like this... can't wait to see it finished

Can't cope with having road cranks on a track bike so I've got my eye on a couple sets of cranks on eBay. Gunna finance the tings.
Then everything's basically done.

I really liked Spray.bike too. I don't have any experience in painting but I found it easy to follow. Frog tape for marking helped too.

What bars are those?

Great photo.
Indeed baskets are amazing for town bikes. On my disc trucker I have a pizza rack with a large wald on the front. Fantastic for everything from throwing in my backpack on my commute to filling with groceries.

I did! With non-tubeless tyres nonetheless! They're not meant to be tubeless but meh...Just use decent tape and good valves and you should be sorted. I wanted to try G-Ones (I'm obsessed with them) in 650 but never got the chance.

Fair! I'm tempted by some WTB 47ers...
What's the actual model name/number of those wheels?

They don't fit 47mm 650?
For example
