I popped into Condor today - they sell them at £2 a pop.
Am I being tight thinking that's too much??
@mdcc_tester what is the most cost effective option to have something similar? (apart from not having misplaced them)
I need a serrated flange nut that is about 5mm thick
I think something like this will work:

Yes.
Are you the Condor sales advisor?
He was not best pleased when I said that I'll think about it...I am well aware of the costs of running a shop - I would probably have paid the £4 if the shop knew the ERD of the rims they were selling me (it's not on their website and they don't know either).
I know you can get a box of 200x stainless steel serrated nuts for about £10 so that's why I felt it was a bit steep for what it was (the ones they had were Miche ones)

So buy those
2 quid is cheap for track nuts

:)
Cheap nuts are not fun to use, it's true. Miche ones are probably shit.
So I'm interested in this thread also. -

I dont think a cheap subsitute will work, very well anyway.. the surface on the outside of the nut that you use to adjust load on the bearings is supposed to be very flat, as is the inside surface of the nut you need so when you tighten them against each other they 'bind' and shouldn't adjust themselves with use.
Those cheaper ones on ebay don't seem to have the same sort of finish so i'm guessing will need to be ridiculously tight to stop things adjusting by themselves. It's harder to tell with the second link as it doesn't show you the actual product...

Yes. They have kindly set aside some seriously expensive retail space for something which is likely to sit on the shelf for a year, just so that you can have it at a convenient time and place. You're lucky they're so kind hearted and didn't ask for £4.99, which is the real cost of carrying that kind of stock.

You've already found it at Condor. If you want the pair of Novatec ones I just pulled out of my parts bin, they will be £6.50 posted :)
I think something like this will work:
It won't, because the thread pitch is wrong. Axles are M10×1.0, Accu and ebay serrated ones will be M10×1.5 which is the standard ISO coarse thread pitch, and some sellers will have M10×1.25 because that's used a lot by Japanese motor manufacturers.
These would work if you can live without the serration (hint: you can) but Accu charge more for postage than I do, so it will be £6.85 for two.

Many thanks for the input - very welcome as always.
These are basic hubs to go with £7.99 Condor rims (ERD is 584mm for Condor Uno Deep Clincher Rims) and double butted ACI spokes from CycleBasket so can live with no serration...
eBay has packs of 5x for £1.99 delivered for thin ones in A4 Stainless Steel, M10 1.0mm fine pitch, which is ideal.
Hi all,
I need small parts for a rear fixed hub (standard Novatec / Joytec / Formula type.
I somehow lost both serrated nuts from the rear hub, they are the ones that grip the frame from the inside.
Since they are rear, they are 10mm in diametre and about 4-8mm in thickness.
Let me know if you have anything in the spare box, or a broken rear hub - I need a pair.
Photos of the missing part! (You can see what I mean on the front hub)
Thank you
Vince
