  • Mechanics love that kind of 'how long is a piece of string' type problem.

Tried re-cabling it? Where did you get it? Can you get them to fix it?

Swift is a good shout, as a dealer they are kinda supposed to help you, as are Bespoke.

  • Yeah I do realise it's a shitty job but it's driving me, at that price I expect it to be quiet!
I am near both Swift & bespoke so I will give them a shot. Thanks guys

  • Who did you buy it from?

My advice would be to bring plenty of beer if you bought it online at discount.

  • Personal build...bought the frame online...good advise!

  • Does it go away with your hands on the hoods? I would put money on it being the lever ports, the plastic block can, and does, rattle in its little space. I stuck a bit of rubber behind it and it’s mostly stopped the noise

  • I did suspect my Ultegra Di2 shifters but I don't think it's from there, still does it hands on hoods....hard to tell where exactly it is coming from really....even suspected the junction box itself...spent my last 2 rides holding things with one hand which not that easy because it appears at high speed on slightly rough tarmac where you need your 2 hands on the bar...

  • Who posted a bin photo like this years ago but with a light pink Dave Marsh(?) fixed gear?

  • Is this yours? I just ordered one and it's about to arrive. Plan was to sell some of the group and change over to Di2. However, as of last week it's become an urgent replacement for a stolen bike, so that plan is on hold.

    Still, I can't wait!

  • S'mine, yep

  • Is that in the no man's land between Swift and Cycle Surgery? Possibly the only pair of adjacent bike shops in London?

  • How are you finding it? Apologies if I missed any of your thoughts up-thread...

  • I do think this is one of the best colour cannondale has come up with in the last few years. Lovely bike.

  • If you end up changing the Di2, be aware that you will have to change the rear derailleur hanger and some of the grommets..

  • I have this issue with 9070 lever, I am too lazy to resolve.

  • Yup.

Almost delayed a customer build due to that, so annoying

  • Here's my '93 R500.

  • went out for the first ride in ages on my 1997 caad3 r500 this morning ( the finished version obvs ) ( don't have a nice photo of it anywhere finished )

    such a great bike

  • Still got all the other dales? You had a couple when I came to collect something a long while ago. Fixed conversion with wide bars?

  • Pretty great, although I've yet to ride it in anger. I've had it for a couple of weeks (three?) but I've been inundated with exam stuff on top of my job so it's mostly been sat there. Gutting. All done now though so looking forward to a long ride. Will report back ASAP!

  • Will a CAAD 8 fit 25s and PDW mudguards?

  • Nearly done my 7, it’s riding at least

  • What are those bars? They look massive.

  • They are! Chinese carbon. Not gonna use them. Too long mostly and also probably snappy

  • Have you got a link to the seller for the seatpost please? Am guessing it's Chinese carbon.
