Stupid and completely illogical. What did they say was the reason?
-
• #178
They just didn’t respond.
I’ve had a it a few times TBH with some of the fancier US builders. Moots kicked up a fuss too. -
• #179
Part of me would like to watch you mask and paint that.
-
• #180
That sucks.
I've only ever had positive responses.

Cross Post from isen thread. Can candy fades be profitable when moving units? Fuck knows, but we've bet the house on red (and yellow and blue candy), and will let you know.

Schawweeeeet. But there is probably a reason why our main colour range is entirely RAL and and Car Manufacturer colours ;)
Last bike for me this week. My favourite colour for reals. Hands have just about survived all the wet sanding this week

This is always the most satisfying part.

our paint course
You offer paint school?
-
• #189
Yeah man.
All the deets are over on the website.
http://Www.colecoatingsworkshop.comIt's four days in the shop... breaks down as priming, prep and graphics, paint and then polishing. Had a handful through now and the results are really quite strong.

That looks comprehensive (not that I'd know) and £200 per day is a fair price for 2:1 instruction with materials.
Appealing for new frame builders who want to see the whole process through!

Thanks man.
It seems to be working well so far. The finished frames are great. Its mostly been one to one instruction so far.
We'll take in anyone familiar with a bike/tools etc... you don't strictly have to be a framebuilder.
And if you get in first you can kinda choose your start date as it suits you.
It's not so much about giving you a chance to paint your frameset like a pottery day or something, it's more about equipping you with the knowledge to be able to repeat the process over and over if you were so inclined.

It would be interesting to see the finished frames. Would dearly love to do this course

^ This! But I can imagine myself making a right fool of myself... Never good with tools... ha...

Cheers.
I've set up a dedicated thread to avoid clogging this up with irrelevant stuff.
Drop me a DM or get in touch via the website if you're keen.
Dates and times are flexible to some extent. -

No wishbone, no fades and northern insignia made this one a challenge. Orange is pretty aggy in real life...

Thanks!
I sent them photos of the frame pre blasting so they could see it was legit. It had the bottle bosses replaced, hence the re spray.
