I'm guessing the students would have some understanding of the camera they are using. Perhaps you can set them a challenge say 5 photos of a different brief and then do an assessment and things for them to work on afterwards. I guess if its a business venture they will be looking for repeat customers so might be way to point people in the right direction and also offer them the next level of training.
Also happy to be a test subject if you need someone to give the final idea a test on! Always looking to learn

I want some collective power from you all! I might be given some freelance jobs to teach some 1 day digital camera course, what can I teach in a day that shouts good quality and value for money? I don't know if that will happen yet but will find out this week and once I know the job's mine (I hope!), things will have to happen very fast... My understanding is production not post production, so probably more like an introduction to digital camera or something... it is only a day so I don't know how in depth should it be etc. I am used to teaching people who have pretty good basics in photography and in my day job, students are here to stay for 3 years, not a day... so I am really not sure what can be done in 1 single day?
