Your trolling game is weak.

Was trolling yes, but who gives the voice 'outside bubble'? i.e. £4.7k is peanuts for their demographics.

A weeks pay for EC1 guys

Not really. But I'm still tempted by the Pyrenees Randonee. Looks good.

rapha don't really make money on these trips, as far as I'm aware. It's not something I'm remotely close to being able to afford but for what they're offering, I think it's a pretty reasonable price.

Obviously not a huge contribution here, but I did two of the cols mentioned in their first day about three weeks ago (Col de Jau & Port de Pailhères) - both were spectacular. Would highly recommend the Pyrenees!

Has this Urban Gilet been discussed?
I am not sure how I should feel about it.

I am not sure how I should feel about it.
Pair it with a Barbour and it will be perfect.

I am not socio-economically there yet

You surpassed that socio-eco-freelanceo milestone years ago, mate.

The urban gilet looks a bit equestrian / carrot-cruncher to me.
-
• #29639
Does one not own a Pony as well as a Parlee?
-
• #29640
I think the gilet's one of those garments that spans the whole rural spectrum from "hunt ball" to "an evening of cider and ratcatching in the old shippon"
-
• #29641
Really? Is that like saying Airbnb don’t make much profit in the uk so don’t pay much tax?
-
• #29643
if you look at everything thats included in the trip, theres not exactly that much margin for profit
-
• #29644
doesn't even look UK road legal
-
• #29645
not to mention slacker than a nonagenarian's sphincter

When did @Señor_Bear start modelling?
I'd read that. "When a man gives up drugs he wants big tyres in his life"
