There used to be a gay leather/PVC/rubber fetish store in the Great Gear Market on the Kings Rd (it used to stand where the M&S is now), me and my mates would shop in there all the time... Studs, cock rings, sexy rubber shit, etc... London Leatherman on Queenstown Road was also awesome but waaaaaay more niche, hardcore and less welcoming to pretty, but very straight, young rock'n'roll boys...

Back in the early/mid 80s a hairdresser mate dragged us to see them play a private record company showcase at a rehearsal space in Kensington... Whole mob of us rocked up head to toe in leather, greasy quiffs, cock rings hanging from the epaulettes of our biker jackets, chain-smoking ciggies, tripping out of our tiny minds... I think we added a bit of radical chic to the proceedings, it was an early evening thing so we fucked straight off to a gig in Hammersmith afterwards...
