I have a custom made carbon rimmed wheel made especially as a training rim. I asked the factory, in China, to ad extra layers of carbon up to the weight of a open pro and drill it for 32h hubs, it is a very traditional width but roughly 50mm deep. It was around £140 to get made. I then had it built onto a Ambrosio Zenith hub by Arup. It has actually just had a hub service, new freehub (10spd) and new bearings. Its a few years old and would sell it for £90, you are free to inspect it. I also comes with new carbon pads.
