I'd should stop baiting the pedants, mother says it isn't nice.

Aaah,
the refreshing, mind-clearing flush of a time out in Pedant's Corner.
;)
Can I come back & play now? -

Yep,
the seat's are always warm in th'Corner. -

This was obviously not composed in 'the' Corner (Leone Rosso?).
In case anyone's referring to Private Eye, it's 'Pedantry Corner' there (or 'Pedantry Column' recently).

No Leone Rosso this week for me at least, I was on pick up duty at LHR.
Next week? -

Does anyone know where I might buy 20" wheel - 451mm not the 406mm? Trying to replace a steel wheel on a shopper for something that brakes can work on in the wet. Cheap is good. Rims seem to be in plentiful supply but complete wheels are proving elusive.
@Aroogah @brokenbetty possibly ?

Maybe someone who deals with Moulton?

There is this as well.

I've contemplated them. But those are a touch overkill for a raleigh shopper.

If I sleep in the back of a normal panel van, no windows or anything, will I suffocate and die? I hope not. (PS, I know it will be freezing, I slept in my old van (which was converted with windows, a bed etc) all over winter all over europe for the last couple of years, I don't mind wrapping up, just want to be able to breathe)

will I suffocate and die?
Only if somebody else in there presses a pillow over your face. They don't seal vans for various reasons, not least among them being that it's actually hard to do.

Look for taylor wheels on ebay. Posted from Germany, not terribly expensive.

I've got a 105 5800 groupset and I'm looking for a replacement chainset (mine is 175mm and I'm vertically challenged). What budget options do I have? Replacement cranksets are bloody expensive, I'd rather just replace the arms or get another solution. Are 10 speed SRAM/Shimano chainsets okay for 11 speed group usage?

5800 is the budget option. You're not going to get anything worth having for less.
-
• #86693
Having had a google I'd basically come to the same conclusion. Looks like 10 and 11 speed are interchangeable chainset wise?

Sram Rival go cheap on ebay

Top tube pads are still sternly frowned upon right?

Mostly. 11-speed chain will run on 10-speed rings, there might be minor differences in spacing with some makes/models but the worst that can happen with that is that you will struggle to set them up for zero chain rub in all 22 gears.

I'm looking for a chart that estimates share of income tax paid by vertical - i.e. how much income tax is paid by workers in the financial sector, manufacturing, agricultural etc.
I'm trying and failing to find this on the ONS site - anyone better at searching than I am care to lend a hand?

This but perhaps keep an eye out on here. I just sold a 5800 105 chainset, some shifters and mechs that were new and unused for £150. That's cheap as chips.

I have a question: is it OK to use stainless steel bolts into brass?
-
• #86700
Shortish answer, yes( if dry), brass being a self lubricating material due to the copper content.
Over wheir?
