Yeah, I look pretty chilled here! I think that's why this picture was taken.
Erm....this is just how I do it! As long as you control the temperature and don't overheat anything, it's cool. The flux should be a nice grey colour after with no (or minimal) black bits (burnt flux). Takes practice to get the brass to penetrate nicely without cooking the joint.
I use oxy-acetylene and didn't really get along with oxy-propane. A lot of very good builders use propane though and it's a lot cheaper and easier to get than acetylene!

We have recently bought a fuck ton of tubing and other bits and bobs so give me a shout if you need a nice set of tubing (loads of stainless) or some crappy practice stuff.
