  • @PhilDAS it wasnt actually, but i do like me some gloss..

Build is comin along smoothly. 11-42 10 speed is mindblowing.

The rack sits nice and low, but still needs a bit of tweaking to get it dialed 100p. It makes the bike look pretty nose heavy, especially considering the already bulky bars. A seat bag will help balance it out a bit.. Pizza rack may end up only getting mounted for longer trips, where as some anything cages and frame bag will suffice for something shorter.

The original plan was actually to pick up a few Rawland Demiporteur racks while in the US a few months ago, but they failed to inform that their webshop no longer worked, yet totally looked like it did. So after a long wait and some lame ping ponging back and forth, i was already back in denmark, with no racks, and no european rawland dealer in sight.

Pizza rack is good cuz it can do both panniers and a load on top, but i feel id be more inclined to leave a demiporteur on all the time. (as if this bike is for me)

Brakes mounted up like a charm. Shimano M396 brakes are serious value for money. Bite is already starting to improve after a few chainless roll arounds, which was to be expected with new pads and rotors

Anyone had success with shortening hydraulic cables without having to bleed/burp? Im thinking ill give it a try, and bleed if it gets spungy.

I'm currently debating a pizza rack vs a surly 8 pack. 8 pack but cant do panniers, but is much stiffer and smaller.

  • I don't think it looks nose heavy at all - but I guess it is a matter of preference.
    Good looking bike already though.
