A cyclist cut me up this morning, overtook with barely an inch to spare. When I called out "A bit fucking close!" he skid stopped and started ranting that because there was a painted bike lane I was not allowed to be in the middle of the lane and that I had to stick to the bike lane.
No amount of trying to reason with Mr "I've been cycling 20 years" was going to make him concede that I was actually allowed to be in the middle of the lane (not least because I was going to turn right in less than 100m).
