  • tbf, we don't have the sound track so possibly words could have been said to provoke the 2nd assault.

    doesn't make it right etc...

  • I must be seeing that video differently. The peds look drunk the guy who got hit seemed to be explaining that the cyclist rode straight at them down the pavement where it narrows at the bus stop and so they had little sympathy when he came off.

For me that guy have to take a late sidestep to the left to avoid the cyclist who is forced to turn his front wheel right to get through the gap when its clips that guys standing leg (from his drunken emergency sidestep manoeuvre) forcing the guy off his stride (his foot goes sideways next step) and a bit of drunkenness means he shrugs it off. Que gangsta reprisal, woman beating and possibly someone running away shouting i am a pacifist.

Or not but i'd put money on the fact that chap who was knocked out was not spoiling for a rumble and not the fighting type.

  • Seriously? I mean seriously?
I can understand if he was trying to share the pavement, but he appears to shoot down behind the bus stop at relatively high speed considering the pavement was crowded.
Like the three guys had to give him way.

If the knocked out guy was looking for a fight he would have probably punch him in the throat before throwing him on the floor. Understandably so, unless the cyclist was shouting "sorry guys let me through I really have to reach a bathroom, I'm shitting myself"

  • Seriously.

I wouldn't have got hit in that situation.

I'd have said something like 'ok man, sorry you came off, hope you're not hurt, let's both get home safely, yeah'

Bet I could have got a hug off him.

Like I said. Both cats were uncool.

  • I’d put money on the fact that you’d have got punched for saying that

  • I'm fast though. That punch came from way back. I'd have stopped it. Then gone for the hug.

    Everyone loves a hug.

  • He ain't even got time for wearing high viz or lights. How they even meant to see him, can't smell the pre-poop if the wind ain't blowing right.

  • Sounds like a real knuckle-dragger

This just reminded me that on the way home from work the other day I saw five or so teenage boys riding at other commuters shouting 'no brakes!' (they did have brakes...) but one lad was riding along doing a one-handed wheelie while dragging the other hand along the ground. Yes, they were cunts, but I could not help but be impressed by the skill...

  • #Bikestorm or something, it's a thing. The wheelie brigade have been hanging at Critical Mass for some time. They seem pretty feral at first but on the whole I'm glad they're out there riding like idiots with madskillz.

  • Hug and a lick on the cheek, always does the job.

Cyclist in that is still the cunt though, no matter how good you or I are at not getting twatted when others might.

  • guy who started run dem crew has been doing some work with bikestorm recently.

they're breaking all kinds of boundaries for young kids from london's worst estates and turning a lot of lives around before they head off down the wrong path purely by riding their bikes.

he's worked with kids in south london before who were born there but had never been to the west end because it's not safe for them to be seen out that way and their parents work too much/don't care enough to take them.

these kids organised a bike ride and now they have 100's of kids from all over london coming together to do something fun without getting stabbed or shot or jumped.

bikestorm is basically london's biggest youth club with no adult supervision.

  • I want to see a collab with EC1 collective

  • as a group (~1000) they may meet the income requirements for a single membership.

  • And many (*massive stereotype klaxon*) work in fintech fence-tech.

  • This weekends ride cancelled due to staff shortages...

  • A cyclist cut me up this morning, overtook with barely an inch to spare. When I called out "A bit fucking close!" he skid stopped and started ranting that because there was a painted bike lane I was not allowed to be in the middle of the lane and that I had to stick to the bike lane.

No amount of trying to reason with Mr "I've been cycling 20 years" was going to make him concede that I was actually allowed to be in the middle of the lane (not least because I was going to turn right in less than 100m).

    Cyclists are such douchebags.

  • license and tax the fuckers.

  • You had to stick to the bike lane, but he didn't?

  • Would love to see those kids (kids in general) discover the joy of a long distance night ride.

  • why the fuck do people in U.K go about with such a percieved sense of entitlement? regardless of the wheels theyre on/ in. Its just a journey youre making ffs

  • Thanks mate! Great work, good to hear more about it.

  • Fixie-skidders are such douchebags.

    Fixied.

  • You had to stick to the bike lane, but he didn't?

I don't think I'll ever understand why people commit logical fallacies like that.

  • We all need to start using licence plates, so we can identify each other. Here's mine.
