Imo it's not really worth putting 47-584 on a bike that takes 40-622 already. Might be if you want to go all monstercross and put something bigger than 50-584 on

True. The rational was to have plusher tyres without a massively big wheel. This and the 650b cool factor, obviously!
A Ti coffee mug dangling from your luggage is bound to make you almost as cool as a set of 650b wheels :D
