Yes it's new. I bought this brand new from Ebay, shipped from Japan. I put it down at my local bike shop and asked the mechanic to put it on my Brompton, along with other jobs. He told me a few hours later that it's too short for a Brompton, so it might have been fitted on once. Also you have a valid point about Wiggle/Evans, so lower the price to £40, still posting out for free to UK addresses.

Are you sure it is new? It looks like it has been fitted before and there are marks on the spindle.
These are £47.99 brand new really new from Evans / Wiggle.
