Calling myself out today. Was going far too fast down Oxford street today and was wondering why those vans crossing in front of me weren't stopping for their red light.
I then realised their light was green and mine was red and I screeched to a halt just after the (fortunately empty) pedestrian crossing.
I then immediately dismounted and crossed the road, walked the one street down to the turning I was going to take, as if that was what I had planned to do anyway.
No idea why I did that. I guess Ive somehow got used to the idea of watching whether pedestrians are crossing the road to establish if I can proceed or not on Oxford street, rather than traffic lights.
