Have seen a few retro frames (like this one) for sale with a lug-type-thing on one fork blade and not the other. What's it for?

Everything about this looks like a Vento to me, unless I'm missing something. Weren't shamals all 16 spoke with bladed spokes? Ventos were 20 round spokes. The hub would be a giveaway, shamals have record hubs with the darker ring around the centre and ventos have a cheaper (athena?) hub with just an engraved logo in the centre.

Not Shamal, maybe a Zonda. I've got a 650c Zonda which looks identical in terms of non-bladed spokes, hub config.

I have a pair of 1995 700c Zondas and don't honestly know the difference between them and Ventos of the same year, except that ventos are a step up quality/price wise. They both look the same to me. I think in 1996 they all switched to 16 spoke but the '94 and '95 versions were both 16 spoke for shamals and 20 for vento/zonda.
