Kingsmen was great until the last scene, I never understood why they decided to spoil it like that

Kingsman 2 is pretty poor

Wonder Woman.
Wonder why I bothered...
Then again, the whole recent DC franchise is Supermeh.

so they've made this sequel to a film called Bladerunner?
Apparently Harrison Ford reprises his role - so it must be a Patriot spin off or something

Was holding out for today's BT 2049 reviews - didn't want to see yet another mediocre Alien type sequel.
BFI IMAX 2d now booked...

Road movies week
Eureka! Japanese movie about two kids and a bus driver who survived a shooting. He moves in with them as they lost their parents and they go on a long trip in Japan. My shot summery does it no justice go watch if you like slow movies about humans.
The straight story
Man travels thousands of miles on lawn mower* to visit his estranged brother. Disney funded, David lynch directed of all things. Not something I'd normally watch but it's about humanity and really well acted.*Based on a true story

Watched this last night, Wim Wenders goes to Tokyo in '85 looking for traces of his favourite director. Meditative, wavy, good watch.

How do the superscreen screens compare to Imax? Looking for somewhere to watch the new Bladerunner and it looks like I've missed the boat on Imax unless I go 3d which I'm not keen on.
Or should I just be cheap and head for my local cinema at a considerably lower price.

Villeneuve delivers, can't wait for his Dune adaptation.
Pacing throughout the film is a bit off, but photography is sublime. Lighitng, color grading, cgi, score are all amazing. Quite like the gritty design of the 2049 dystopian future that builds upon the original idea.

Dune adaptation.
it'll never happen.
and why bother? they'll only get as far as the end of the first book and that'll be yer lot, and even that is pretty much dances with wolves in spaaaaaaace which was avatar - the least important movie ever made.

With the rumours of Legendary aquiring the film rights, Villeneuve to direct and the Herbert/Anderson lot behind the project. I hope something materializes.
I don't see an adaptation of just the first book happening though. I suspect all classic and new Herbert & Anderson novels to be adapted to screen.
If it's going to happen as a movie or as the new HBO/Netflix moneymaker remains to be seen.

The straight story
This is a lovely film.
Re watched Wild. One of my favourite films of all time.
Julianne Moore feeds a henchman into a meat grinder, it bumped the certificate apparently.
