Have you seen the state of the air quality in the French and Swiss Alps due to to wood burners? They've got a growing child asthma problem in an area that is supposed to have the cleanest air.
Wood burners create particulate pollution of just the correct size to go right into the deepest parts of your lungs and cause all sorts of really nasty shit.
Sure, vehicular and industrial pollution is widespread but the fears around wood burners is very real.

I think there are probably one or two other things that create more pollution in London that you might want to address first.
I thought wood and coal fires had been banned in London since the 30's, for good reason
