I had a go with this, and in theory my 1598cc 16v with 280 cams needs ~38cm.

I recon with my man maths and not being near the car to physically measure I got to ~36cm as a guesstimate

The two values (one half of the other) confuse me- which do you use for what purpose?

Yeah the two values it spits out are confusing - I couldn’t work out why it gives you one value and then a second one which is half. I might try and decider the original formula

Might be to do with resonant frequencies, where one has the first harmonic of the other.
