If it's a publicity stunt it has worked very well, the discussion is all over cycling related social media...

All the while the news that they are ending their Women's team seems to have slipped under the radar somehow...

I've already forgotten which team it was..

Gilbert hasn't ridden in Paris Roubaix in the last 8 years (or ever?) but he's decided to target it now??
-
• #14281
He rode it once at FDJ I think. But if you can win Flanders you can win Roubaix.

Maybe Lefervre will be personally putting up some dodgy spectator barriers this year?
-
• #14283
Presume he wants to collect the full set of classics...

Nasty crash for Chaves in Italy
-
• #14290
Yuck, he really ate it
-
• #14291
Was horrible to watch, but apparently he's okay and on his way to hospital for an X-ray.

Phew. Good news. Overshadowed the cracking solo run-in from Visconti a bit. Very strong ride, that.
-
• #14293
I enjoyed that. Hard circuit to reel an escapee back in. The crash won't have helped but credit to Visconti for putting the pressure on the chasers in the first place.

Minor fracture to his shoulder blade, so Chaves is out for what remains of the season.

Hilarious premature celebration at Napoleon Games Cup race today, to Dan McLay's benefit.

Just caught up on this, hahahaha what a chump.

I think McLay would’ve won even without the premature celebration, but it makes the win more memorable.
It’s still not as good as that McLay win where he weaves through the pack though.

Cannondale-Drapac, soon to be EF Education-Drapac by Cannondale, announce the signing of McLay for next season.
One of my (many) criticisms of this team is that they lack someone who'll win 5-10 races a year for them. I don't know if McLay will do that, but he's clearly talented and it's a step in the right direction.

What an awful name tho...
What does it even mean? Cannondale presents (somehow) EF Education-Drapac?

‘Mericans, innit.
Does that mean they will they be allowed to have beards for reasons other than aesthetics?
