@Hovis -thanks for the link.
@andos -we were actually in JL yesterday getting a bit of a feel for it all so will do some price comparisons and see what they come back with. bedrooms don't need much apart from a paint so I'll be tackling that sooner rather than later. It hasn't eluded that its a good time to take advantage of a gross carpet and save on dust sheets!
@greenhell -We want carpets in the bedrooms regardless. Wooden floors planned for the hall and living room which we wont be re carpeting for the moment. The end game plan feels more like a pipe dream currently but we need to pull the carpets up and see whats under there properly as so far it seems there's a mix of materials and its not particularly level
