Giant Omnium Owners

I'm trying to add to my collection of Omniums but the older models are getting hard to find.
When I say older, I mean those with standard 27.2 seatposts and straight headtubes.
So, looking at newer models, does anyone know if the forks can be swapped out for 'caliper compatible' forks? I know some giant forks with the 'overdrive' system had fixed crown races.
I don't mind sourcing a giant road fork if that's what's needed, just want to know of it's possible.
Anyone on here done this or similar?

I swapped out my fork for a tusk straight fork . Looks alright but prefer the original
