Bollocks to that. I've installed a few so far, mostly on electronic shifting bikes, and they've all eventually come off by request of those who asked for them to begin with. As far as I see it, if it were true, Shimano et al would have implemented them.
A friend of mine also made an interesting observation. Ceramic bearings mainly have an effect during high rpms, right? Yet the higher tooth count make them spin fewer rpm than regular jockey wheels.
Ceramic speed, supposed to be more efficient, save you power etc. Looks shit though
