Bomb track Hook EXT

That doesn't have the fork mounts

I could well be wrong but I think that this is the new version.

bombtrack bikes look nice, but they are really, I mean really heavy. They got some really cheap (but still columbus) tubing.

One I looked at was 12kg, I assumed that wasn't too bad for a steel frame and fork? My aluminium MTB weighs about the same.

well a frameset is only a small part of that 12kg of course. I weight a SSCX bombtrack and it was about 1,5kg heavier than mine. And mine is an old 70's cyclocross bike which I converted by welding on disc brake (https://www.pedalroom.com/bike/no-name-sscx-32536).

Why don't you run the brake cable down the downtube?
-
• #16672
Funny you mention that! The bike only had cable stops on the top tube, so used those at first.
However, a few weeks ago I decided to weld some cable stops into the downtube for an internal downtube cable. So now I am running it through the downtube :)
Now I just need to fix the paint.. Thinking of spraying it pink.

Jaap, dunno where you located but if your willing you can weld some stuff on my Nature boy :-)

That thing looks ace!
Would still clamp ass cheeks every time front brake is used thinking the fork is going to buckle. -

Maybe that's the whole point? :)
