Are those UST tyres any good? What tyres are you using?
Currently using Vredestein T-Lope UST 60-559, they're good for what I use them for (which matches what Vredestein said they would be good for). Also discontinued, which is why I only paid a tenner each. I think the last people to get them paid about £6!

Leaking around the valve stem usually means your tubeless tape isn't sealing the spoke holes. Maybe your tape is too narrow, or just not sticking good enough..
