I've been quite civil in disagreeing with a post, I've stated why I disagree with the poster. I've been reasonably polite throughout, a few people who disagree with me have been vocal, fine with me I'm not going to burst into tears over it. Do I give a shit if a couple of gobshites are not going to be my internet friends course I don't, do I wish them any ill will course not its just a cycling forum. However I can't really see the point of a forum with completely homogenous view points where any debate or contrary position which is reasonable and not gratuitously offensive is shouted down.

but you do seem to be getting your knickers in a twist about the way some have responded to you. you accused me of trolling you ferinstance. no one on here agrees 100% about anything. stick about and you'll see that. i like to think, however, that people that sign up for the express purpose of banging on about a single issue du jour get called out for being the yawnsome bores they invariably present themselves as being. have great day.

Me neither. That's why I put @greenhell on ignore long, long ago. Makes the place much more like a forum for discussion and debate rather than a venue for flinging personal abuse at anyone who has the temerity to express a different point of view. It's not a perfect or complete solution, as there are other LFGSSers who seem to treat a difference of opinion as an existential threat, but since there are no downsides it's a step in the right direction.
You're not making any friends.
Doesn't mean you can't, but you aren't.
And hey, this is the friendliest forum on the web so you might want to try looking elsewhere.
