The driver who killed Chris Boardman mum is in court. I'm sure Chris has made reference to not being sure if it would ever make it to court. It sounds like the case is going to centre on mobile phone use. Unfortunately the outcome is all too easy to predict.
If they're also up for interfering with possible evidence (deleting mobile phone data) doesn't it suggest that the prosecution have good evidence of phone use at the time of the collision?
