  • the rollercoaster that is liverpool entertained once again
only west ham and everton had conceded more away from home that us going into this game

  • top 4 shaping up nicely with liverpool clinging onto their coattails

  • Watching Liverpool is very similar to spurs when they are down to ten men.

Two more games until the next palace managerial change.

  • Whilst I feel Koeman has a bit of the 'Great I am' about him. He's had the sense to play the man he froze out last year, which at least shows that decisions are being made with a a level of objectivity. Niasse's first goal was fucking great.

  • The Niasse story is proper Roy of the Rovers stuff

Last of Martinez's signing in the Jan window.
Never got a game as apparently was shit and put in with the stiffs where he smashed them in.
Koeman came in and told him from day one he wasn't wanted, didn't give him a number or even a locker and loaned him out to Hull where he scored winners against Utd and Liverpool, couldn't help them avoid the drop though.
Since the start of the season we have been dying for goals and have been playing some of the shittest football I have ever witnessed yet Niasse has still been scoring for the U23's

Koeman reluctantly brings him in and has now scored 3 goals in 2 games...59mins to be exact. Before today we hadn't scored in 5 games(Sunderland Cup game excluded)

All the time, Niasse has never moaned or bitched, whinged to the media or slagged Koeman, he's just got in with his game with dignity and a smile on his face

Gives me a little bit of hope in what is otherwise a fucking mess!

  • Wins the ball back for the start of the move too. Well happy for him

  • "Fuck off Koeman"

  • This is a ridiculously generous way of spinning it for Koeman.

  • No, I think it's balanced. Thought Niasse was shit, realised he was wrong, played him and he scored a few. If he was that pig-headed and proud he wouldn't have played him at all and we'd never be having this conversation.

  • It took him a fucking long time to realise. And it sounds like he treated him like shit in the mean time.

Surely he looked good in training with the U23s? He definitely looked good on loan at Hull, yet wasn't considered at the start of the season.

It seems like Koeman is as petty and arrogant as De Boer, it's just he's got away with it for a bit longer.

  • Aye he was treated poorly, but apparently looked crap in training and we had lukaku last season so why carry a makeweight who's not going to play. There's a lot I don't like about Koemann but if he was that petty, he'd never have played him at all just to make his point. Ferguson, Mourinho, loads of good managers are bastards. Koeman's problem is that he's losing too. No one had much of a problem with him last season.

  • Fantasy premier league didn't even have him listed before today. Their goalscorer page was blank with no one scoring everton's two goals. I'd agree he's playing now. Adebayor had to wait until AVB got the boot and Timmy got the best out of him in lillywhite.

  • If he starts with Rooney and benches Niasse for Burnley next weekend it will sum the cunt up for me.

Same could be said for starting with Schneiderlin and Klaasen and benching Davies...

Both have been wank all season and Davies drives the team when he's brought him on

Koeman's stubbornness will be his downfall and the square pegs in round holes is never going to work

  • Guardiola is very casual these days isn't he? Dressing gown by the end of the season.

Poor Palace have Man United next.

City fans genuinely looked underwhelmed at the third goal. They mustered a polite round of applause.

  • I had a problem with Koeman, many in fact. Nothing has really changed, he's a chancer and he's been found out by 85% of Evertonians...
Shame though as he won't get sacked cos he's Moshiri's recruit and he will no way wanna lose face

  • City's strike force is terrifying. 25 shots on target today, and the quality of their build up play is ridiculous.

Keeper had a mare for Aguero's goal though.

  • Morata has had a cracking start, and now Terry's gone and Costa's off there aren't really any dislikeable Chelsea players left.

An Italian friend supports Lecce and can't stand Conte because he want from Lecce to Bari, but I don't really have strong feelings about that myself.

I have to keep remembering about the racism in Paris and the songs about Spurs fans, or I'm in danger of not disliking them.

  • But at least ManU play more exciting football than Chelsea. That Lukaku on form again with a match winning performance. Morata can only score with his head and isn't ready for the Premier League yet, apparently.

Yes, it's clear that Mourinho is doing better now that he's at a top level premiership club.

  • Just seen the Niasse goals on MOTD.

Funny to see Ferguson going absolutely barmy behind Koeman, who stands there looking sour.

  • Great result for Chelsea, clinical in taking chances. Crouch should have been sent off.
    Morata 6 - Lukaku 6.

  • did someone mention adebayor and the sheriff

  • Arsene Wenger: Champions League isn't as interesting as it used to be

  • Reading's turgid brand of slow, unimaginative football, coupled with shit results, led to some key booing from a small section of the crowd at around the 70 min mark. Stam somewhat lost his rag in the post-match interview and said if they don't like it they can not bother coming.

  • That's not the real picture.

This one from the Daily Mail is right, without the assistant manager photoshopped in:
