• Almost finished.

Lovely smooth ride. A little stiffer than the Basso Astra, less springy, nippier up hills and in acceleration and no brake rub on rear wheel due I think to the triangular LH chain stay. DA cassette definitely shifts better under load than 105, cranks feel more efficient too. Having always built bikes on a budget I'm noticing the high end (if old) parts.

    Still need:

A longer seatpost. This one is 180mm, I need at least 190. 25.0 posts are either rare and expensive, or modern, cheap and heavy. I can't justify spending 100 quid on a new old stock campy one at the moment. Any help with this much appreciated.

A new stem; this one has an expander bolt which fails to loosen, and so has to be painstakingly twisted out of the fork for every build. Don't want it siezing.

Available to view in real life on the brixton cycles club run tomorrow morning :)

  • Ooh, want! Thanks for posting. looks long enough too. Need to know specifically the length between clamp and min. insertion line. I need at least 175mm of extension.
