Still need to buy some. People are recommending Barge Cement, but can't find it in the EU.
SneakersER offers Sole BondER, but I feel there must be a cheaper option.

thanks for the tips. i tried gorilla glue but it wasn't that effective in fixing cracked soles on a pair of adidas springblade. interesting trainers but it happens a lot with them i have since read.

Isn't the cheap option plain old clear (or maybe white or black) silicone sealant from your local DIY store? I've used it for reattaching partially detached soles. You seem to be able to get marine variants too. Also good for saddles.
