Do they "clunk" into place when you put air in? If not add another layer of rim tape. Though I can't think of a good reason not to use sealant. I built one of my Isen wheels last week and mounted the tyre first time, then added sealant and it has remained at pressure since then.

I'm fucked if I can get my g-ones to hold pressure. I'm still building the bike so there's no sealant in there, but I rather thought they should seal without it- hopelessly naive?
