13" + extra RAM. @chrisbmx116 How would you go about using a partner's education discount? Should I buy as present for her and then transfer the "ownership" (via apple id) at a later date? Would that be just a simple change? :)

I don't think they are that bothered by the technicalities of the ownership/discount, you can pretty much walk in to a store with a random student and get a discount if they show their student card from what I have heard. And yep, extra ram, I was using a machine with only 8GB for a while and I did max out the usage and had to shut apps down to keep working.

As @Well_is_it said. 13 all the way. Even an iPhone is more powerful than your 2011. Pretend it’s for your partner, get the discount.
