Seconding Cerviche, went to the one on Old Street and was very pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Building is really nice and historic too.
Was treated to the tasting menu with vintage wine pairing at Clove Club last week, really good on both accounts, id consider it well priced from previous similar experiences. -

Steak places with Josper ovens? I know New Street Grill does and it's hands down the best steak I've ever had - was disappointed going to Hawksmoor not long after.

my local chinese takeaway has closed, have a hankering for some chow mein, and dumplings tonight.
Any suggestions for good chinese takeaways in south london, preferably, zone 2/3, even better if it's brixton/clapham/peckham regions.. -

Silk Road does takeaways.
They do dumplings but you wonβt get a chow mein - which is a good thing.

White's. Assuming you're the Earl of somewhere or friends with someone who is.
Simpson's though it's a bit fancy these days compared to Rules etc.
Sweetings if you're into fish.
Wilton's.
etc.

Cheers for all of the suggestions, plenty to go for there.
I'm liking the look of Holborn Dining Rooms (although given that this is for my girlfriend and her mum whilst I'm at the match I may steer them away from that one so I can go sometime).
