If the beads went on with a crack then it sounds good. I've got a set of road wheels with a single wrap of Gorilla tape.
I put on a set of 650×38 GK at the weekend and one went up and sealed almost perfectly straight away. The other one wasn't so well behaved and after finding the big rim leak, it took a while to find and seal a small sidewall leak at 50psi.
Use a washing up liquid solution to find the biggest leaks first, then work on minor leaks or go and ride them.
First foray into tubeless, I've got tubeless rims which came set up with Gorilla tape. I've got GravelKings (the non tubeless ones) which appeared to seat themselves with a track pump yesterday, but didn't hold air for more than about 2mins. No sealant in there yet. Is that all sounding right so far?
Am I right in thinking, if it looks like it's seated, I can glug some sealant in there and pump it up, swish it around, and all should be ok?
