Too kind. His tweets mentioned Waterloo area so that narrowed it down hugely. I looked at satellite images on google maps and 3d Apple maps, and it was pretty much the first place I looked -concrete landscaping not too large. Something about the type of benches made me think it was a fairly recent development. I tried to look at estate agents for internal courtyard pics, no luck there, but then tried to work out the name of the whole block. Once I got the name of it, the pic of the boy on the bench came up and I couldn't believe my luck.

I think the stolen brompton was at Iroko Housing, Coin Street.
The 3rd picture down on the spatialagency site is very similar in style to the bench and paving in pic "7 of 11" on his tweet:
