I think of this bike as a pure gravel bike so wouldn't want mudguards on it personally.
Wheelsize is odd choice. but offers some voluminous tyres. (The WTB Horizon fits). I wonder if one can use 650b for CX races.
I've been riding my 'gravel bike' in Epping forest today, on gravelly roads, with no mudgaurds.....I'm covered from head to toe in beige slurry.
I will be fitting some tomorrow

Don't see the point in riding off road only to get home mud free... that's part of the fun!
