Yep, definitely a headset

I've been meaning to make one of those for ages. I installed the last 2 with a hammer and a block of wood and i'm amazed i didn't completely fuck them (or worse the head tube) up.

Do my extraordinary mudguards count?

What are they made from? At first glance I thought it might be iron, which would be incredible.
