Not bad actually, mostly paved, some gravel, and then lots of roads in between. Lots of it (eg the excellent section after Tavistock) was in a much better condition than the guide I saw said, so it must have been fixed up recently.
There were some crap sections where paths had flooded, in the bit on the way towards Okehampton. But not much like this.
