I have been following Doval on social media and they've recently released a new "non-circular chainring named 5G NANO.
It looks pretty much circular - they even have a BCD 144 track version, perhaps @mdcc_tester can tell us the merits of it...
Anyway, I have purchased the new 5G Nano from their eBay store, quality has certainly improved and the chainring spacing plate is now alloy instead of marine MDF.
I went for the 52/36 version as it felt easier to pedal than normal on the 50/34.
Price wise, only 39$ posted, that's about £29 and they even chucked in an "old" 3G chainring for comparison.
